Translating over three decades of experience in the Pakistan Defence Sector into the realization of the SHIBLI Factory in 2012, I have been able to pioneer and guide Optronics in Pakistan to the point where SHIBLI is now the only Optronics Manufacturer active in the region. SHIBLI maintains full capability to design, produce and manufacture uncooled thermal imagers for land defense applications.
The Future In Sight – with this philosophy SHIBLI operates as the only private defense company focusing on Thermal Imagers and Optronics Solutions in Pakistan. At SHIBLI, we focus on complete solutions; with our systems engineering abilities and complete know-how of thermal imaging, we are able to identify and fulfill customer needs through the customization of our production to meet individual requirements. All our products conform to the highest military standards and are designed to never fail you in times of need.
With a team of more than 100 employees, spread over the SHIBLI Head Office and Factory in Pakistan and the Development Centre in the UAE, I am committed to do my best with untiring efforts for continuous development of advanced and differentiated product lines. S.M Shibli is the Chairman and C.E.O of Shibli Electronics. With over 30 years of experience in the defense sector, he is considered a pioneer in bringing thermal imaging and optronics technologies to Pakistan and is credited with setting up the first Optronics Manufacturer in the region.

Chief Operating Officer

Faraz is the Chief Operating officer at SHIBLI; in his role, he is responsible for the overall operations of SHIBLI including strategy, planning and production. He has over 8 years of experience in defense industry and has previously held positions in sales and program management functions at SHIBLI. He holds an Engineering degree in Material Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI), Pakistan.

Muhammad Atif

Chief Financial Officer

Having joined SHIBLI as CFO in 2016, Atif is responsible for all aspects of the company’s finance including planning, budgeting & controlling, treasury, tax and trade finance.

With 15 years of experience in varied business domains, he has proven credentials in handling accounting, planning and budgeting, project accounting, financial analysis, working capital management and treasury. He was previously Director Audit & Financial Services and held key positions with renowned companies in GCC region and Pakistan.Atif holds a Masters of Commerce Degree in addition to being a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.

Ayaz oversees and manages the overall Sales and Communication Operations of SHIBLI. In this capacity, he is responsible for finding and developing business opportunities with customers around the globe. As one of the founding members of SHIBLI, Ayaz has over 5 years of experience in Optronics and holds a Computer Sciences Degree from FAST, Pakistan.

Waseem Siddiq

In his role as Head of Communications, Waseem looks after all avenues of internal and external communications for SHIBLI. In addition, he is responsible for maintaining brand image, ensuring brand compliance and managing the corporate profile of the company.

With 10 years of experience in various marketing, branding and communications roles mainly in telecom, Waseem has prior experience in industry leading companies like Mobilink, while his previous position was Assistant Manager Marketing at Ufone.Waseem holds a Master in Communication Design from the National College of Arts, Pakistan.

An engineer veteran form Pakistan Army – EME, Col. Malik brings with him a vast experience of management and engineeing. While in the Army he spent numerous years at command positions for important engineering roles.

As VP Buisness Development, SHIBLI benefits from his seasoned professional experience resulting in vertical growth of the company while he manages key accounts.

Head of Human Resources

As Head of Human Resources since 2015, Khalid oversees all aspects of Human Resource Management for SHIBLI including, recruitment & selection, performance management, compensation & benefits, payroll, employee relations and analytics.

With 10 years of experience working in Human Resource in Information technology, telecom/engineering and banking sectors, Khalid has previously held the position of Manager HR at Huawei Technologies.
Khalid is Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Human Resources from Institute of Management Studies – University of Peshawar, Pakistan.

Jalil Ahmed

Program Manager – Development Centre

Jalil is tasked with overlooking and managing all on-going programs at the Development Centre from conceptualization to execution. This includes all aspects of programs at every stage of their development.
In his role, he also assists Product Architects with their requirements and coordinates the smooth delivery and closure of projects.
He has over 5 years of experience in managing R&D program for Optronics Products and has previously been engaged at Fraunhoffer HHI, Germany in the same role.
Jalil holds a Masters in Electronic Engineering from Technical University, Berlin as well as a Masters in Photonic Network Engineering from SSSUP, Italy.

Head of Corporate Affairs

With over 15 years of Management experience in Program Management and Corporate Affairs in the Defense Sector, Col. (R) Wazir is the Head of Corporate Affairs at SHIBLI.
In addition to having held various Command and Staff appointments during 33 years in the Pakistan Army, he also has a Masters Degree in Management and has been an instructor in the Pakistan Army School of Infantry and Tactics.

Zia Malik

Chief Technology Officer

As the Chief Technology Officer, Zia is responsible for the overall technology vision of the company. He provides technical direction across a diverse set of business areas to drive innovation within the company including Optronics, Communication, Software Technology and Information Security.
Prior to SHIBLI he has been Principal Engineer at Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) and holds over two decades of international experience in Western and Eastern Europe, Russian, the Middle East and Asia in research and development, especially in defense markets and technologies.
Zia holds an Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. He also holds a Masters Degree in Computer Systems.
