Job Description
Planning:
- Develop and maintain a production plan that aligns with sales forecasts and inventory targets.
- Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Work closely with the production team to ensure that the plan is feasible and achievable.
- Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
- Monitor production processes and adjust the plan as necessary to maintain optimal efficiency.
Coordination:
- Collaborate with the procurement and logistics team to ensure that the necessary raw materials and supplies are available to support production.
- Manage production schedules and coordinate with the Sales team to ensure that finished products are delivered on time and in the correct quantities.
Process Improvement:
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste, minimize downtime, and optimize production processes.
- Analyze production data and make recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
- Train and supervise production planning staff
Scheduling:
- Assign workers and other staff to particular production operations
- Schedule shift according to production needs in coordination with Manager Production
Control:
- Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
- Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
Reporting:
- Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
- Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner
- Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules
- Keep paperwork organized
Skills
- Proven experience as production / supply planner
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
- Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning)
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
- Good at math and statistics
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities
Experience:
- 3 – 4 years
Education:
- Bachelor of Engineering – (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics) from a reputed university
